How do you get pregnant if you have not had periods 4 2 yrs and now is on metaformin after cyst removal still?

no periods though how long will it take or what can i do 2 conceive

How do you get pregnant if you have not had periods 4 2 yrs and now is on metaformin after cyst removal still?
The Doctors know about inserting sperm and eggs in older women, you seen the news 66 yr old 55 yr olds and 45 yr old women getting pregnant having healthy babies, it's not easy but it's a risk you'll take , If you are a young female that havent had any periods in 2 yrs, then you cant get pregnant at all ! try an adoption agency.the cyst removal may affect the case but people beat the medical books in all types of rare forms, you never know you might be one of them.
Reply:Consult your doctor. I had read in the internet that eventhough i have periods it does not necessarily mean that i have ovums. I'm sure there're certain ways to check whether u're ovulating. Good luck
Reply:Sounds like you have PCOS? I know of many women who were able to ovulate/conceive after diet alteration. Eliminating wheat is a BIG boon.

I would highly recommend Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo's Eat Right for Your Type approach.

I would also recommend naturopathic approach. MUCH cheaper than ART and safer.
Reply:I had the same problem had many irregular periods. I was givin progesterone to start my periods to regulate them. Then years ago i was on clomid which worked and resulted in the birth of my oldest daughter. It however did not work after that. I was told that i have polycystic ovarian syndrom and would never have any more children. I just gave birth last month to another girl. Just keep going to different doctors and the most important thing is keep going to God with your troubles, worries, and wishes it always works that's why my little girl is here.

Sometimes when I have sex, it hurts and it is hard to be penetrated. is it because i have a cyst on my ovary?

I had a pap smear just recently and my doctor said that everything was okay but I didnt ask about this. I figured they would tell me if anything was wrong.

Sometimes when I have sex, it hurts and it is hard to be penetrated. is it because i have a cyst on my ovary?
First, It isnt your ovary, they dont get bother during sexual intercourse. And your doctor would not lie to you because they can get sued for a lot of money if they would and you found out. I wouldnt worry about that, and I would say tone down on the sex, consult your doctor, most likely let what ever it was you had heal. Good luck
Reply:Yes, it can cause pain during sex.
Reply:Sometimes these things can develop suddenly...if I were you, I would schedule another appointment w/my doc. Better safe than sorry.
Reply:You may want to call them back and ask about this. It sounds kinda serious.
Reply:Do some investigating on symptoms. Use yahoo. Just type in ovarian cysts. There should be a good website on how to indicate if you have ovarian cysts. Tell your physican or get a second opinion from another person in the health care profession. Its good to do some digging and find out and you will be at ease.
Reply:no...they may not help you unless you ask...I have cysts and I experience the same things as you....talk to the doctor...because everytime one ruptures it is a layer of scar tissue which can cause fertility problems....seriously talk to your dr.
Reply:well first of all just cause u go to a doctor dont mean they find everythin a cyst isnt normaly seen in a pap smear , u should have told your doctor about this or anyother syptoms u may have , after all a doctor normaly only looks for what bugs a patient unless age and yearly exam , so alway no matter how strange it may be bring any pain or questions u have to the attention of your doctor, sometimes the pain can be an effection that u may be unaware of, another thing you may be to dry this can cause pain u may want to try a lubicant like ky jellly or someting , but call your doctor in the mean time and schedule and appointment and bring this to your doc attention the sooner the better
Reply:Are you comfortable with the situation? Tension doesn't help. I found that making sure my bladder was empty helped. Maybe even start the moment with a relaxing shared bath/shower might help. Good luck but do talk to your doctor about this/
Reply:If you got the okay, it could be anything from cysts they missed, or an STD, or anything. You should see your Dr. He/She may order an internal ultrasound to rule out some things, and some STD tests. Good luck!
Reply:Pap smears do NOT have anything to do anything with your ovaries.

When you have sex, THAT has nothing to do with your ovaries. (unless you are trying to get prgnant... but that is in a different line of questions...)

Having pain while having sex has nothing to do with your ovaries.

Being hard to penetrate has nothing to do with your ovaries.

Having cysts on your ovaries, in lots of cases, are painless.

A Pap Smear is performed as part of a gynecological exam.

A sample of cells from the outside and the canal of the cervix is taken by gently scraping the outside of the cervix with a wooden or plastic spatula, then inserting a small brush that looks like a pipe cleaner into the canal.

The cells are placed on a glass slide and sprayed with a fixative, or put in a bottle containing a preservative, then sent to the lab for examination.

When the test results came back from your doctor, and he said everything was okay, it meant that there was no sign of cancer. The Pap smear can detect cancerous or precancerous conditions of the cervix.

I have pain in my wrist joint, and cannot apply any pressure to my wrist. Could it be a ganglion cyst?

I have had a bulge in my wrist before. I just had a baby 3 weeks ago, and throughout my pregnancy, I did not have any wrist pain or I didn't see the bulge. Why now that I am not pregnant, did it come back? My wrist is so sensitive, I can't put any pressure on it. What can I do????

I have pain in my wrist joint, and cannot apply any pressure to my wrist. Could it be a ganglion cyst?
definitely go get it checked out my husband and doctors thought he had that and it ended up being mpnst a type of cancer. i know i just probably scared you but go get it checked out.
Reply:I have had the wrist pain before. It was even in my ankles. It turned out that I had a pretty bad bacterial infection. It only took some antibiotics but it sure was painful.
Reply:I have a ganglion cyst in my wrist, too, and I have found that when I overuse my wrist in certain ways it will cause the cyst to flare up (for example, driving for long periods of time).

You have a new baby so you are probably using your wrist in a lot of ways that you didn't before - changing diapers, holding the baby while feeding her/him, bathing the baby, etc. It could just be that overuse has caused an irritation of the cyst.

HOWEVER....if it is as painful as you are describing, you really need to see your doctor to be sure that it is only a ganglion cyst and not something more serious.
Reply:I've actually heard that pregnancy can cause carpal tunnel syndrome and cause it to subside. Sounds odd to me but I've never been pregnant lol! But I have carpal tunnel syndrom and oooooooh boy does it hurt and do I ever have that same bulge you're talking about.

Nothing brings me relief at all but resting my hands when they start to go to sleep and numb/hurt. As for that sensitivity I can only tell you to see your doctor. I mentioned that lump and the doctor was not surprised at all and people I know who have had it knew just what I was talking about.

But as the other answerers said, go to your doctor because it could be a number of things. Just don't worry too much because you don't want to be treated for stress on top of the problem! Good luck to you with your new baby!
Reply:Probably. My niece (she's 6) just had one removed on tuesday. Go to the emergency room. They have to perform a proceudre to drain it. Good luck.
Reply:You can find a lot of information on joint pain and natural remedies for joint pain at http://www.aches.in/jointpain.html
Reply:I don't understand why people ask these kinds of questions on yahoo answers.

You should be making a doctor's appt. to find out.

I have jaw pain on my left side and my left ear, I had a op to remove a cyst on this side about 6-8 months ag?

I suggest you go back to the Doc for a recheck. Already done that? If there is no further problem find a CranioSacral Therapist and have them treat you. They will probably do some mouth, jaw and throat work that will help you work out the mouth issues.

Actually I would go get some CranioSacral Therapy anyway. It will help you beyond belief.

I have something behind my ear, it's on my neck, I'm not sure if it's a cyst or a gland, can you tell me if

You need to have it checked by a medical professional. My husband has had two cysts removed from his neck. Both were harmless. On the other hand, if you have swollen lymph nodes (quite possible if your swelling is on your neck or behind your ears), you definitely need to be tested to find out the cause of the swollen nodes. Good luck!

I had an MRI on my lower back and it says incidentally noted is a 20 mm unilocular adnexal cyst Is that cancer

It is unlikely to be cancer. Cysts on the ovary are not uncommon.

If you are concerned about it the best next step would be to visit your gynecologist and ask them to perform an ultrasound for more information.

I recently had a cyst discovered on a CT and then had my GYN do the ultrasound. It was nothing.

it is an ovarian cyst...your doctor should disuss it with the radiologist and then go over the details of it with you

I've had 2 missed m/c but one beautiful 4 year old.I'm 8 weeks now with cyst,just had a scan but d/charg again
I dont understand what your asking, I wish people would stop with the abbreviations and explain things properly, we aren't mind readers
Reply:Huh? Can you please explain a little clearer.
Reply:What are you discharging? if it is blood, and you are definitely pregnent, go to your local A%26amp;E. If the cyst is hormonal, it could be giving a false positive reading on any pregnancy tests that you have done, so I would make an immediate appointment at the doctors and ask him to check you over.
Reply:Dont get stressed. See a doc immediately. They can give you drugs to prevent misscarriage and stabilize you.
Reply:Do you mean that you have a cyst on one of your ovaries and that you have discarge?

Discharge is normal in pregnancy as long as it hasn't got a strong smell and is creamy or clear in colour, you have nothing to worry about. Also Discharge does change colour during pregnancy so just be aware of that before you panic.

If you mean you have bloody discharge I would say that you need to go to your Dr or the hospital and get checked out. There is nothing they can do if you are going to miscarry but this is not a given and it could just be a small bleed and getting it checked could put your mind at rest. I am almost 17 weeks pregnant and I had bloody discharge last week after intercourse, I called my midwife who said that it was nothing to worry about and that we should try intercourse again in a weeks time, That's not going to happen!!

With the Cyst, I had a scan done at 9 weeks and 5 days as I was having pains in my abdomen, they found a cyst on my right ovary and said that it was probably what was causing my pain, they also said that although not all women get cysts they are actually a good thing as it provides baby with more nutrients in early pregnancy.

The cyst is basicall what your egg sits in previous to being released into thewomb, It usually disapperas a few days after the egg has been released but in pregnancy ot stays around to help you little one develop.

Now that my baby is living off of the placenta the cyst has disappeared and all is at it should be.

If this is not what your question meant please explain a little further and I will help if I know the answer.

Take care of you and little one

x
Reply:When I had my scan on my last pregnancy I had a large cyst on one of my overies. I freaked out but the sonographer told me that cyst are often pregnancy related and very common.

As for the discharge - if it's blood, go to the hospital right away, with your history they will check to see whether everything is alright. Take it easy and try to relax (stressing is very bad). If you had an internal scan, this can cause slight bleeding because there are a lot of blood vessels in there which now contain far more blood then previously (this is also why some girls bleed after sex in pregnancy.

As I said, go to the hospital and get checked, you wont be wasting anyones time. Good luck. x

What are the dimensions of the piece that gets inserted in the vagina for an ultrasound for an ovarian cyst?

Any personal experience about how the procedure feels would be appreciated too. Thanks

What are the dimensions of the piece that gets inserted in the vagina for an ultrasound for an ovarian cyst?
I had a vaginal (and regular) ultrasound a couple months ago. I do not have ovarian cysts, but I needed the ultrasound for a prolapsed uterus. I had to have a full bladder, so I drank a TON of water before I went in. They did the regular/abdominal ultrasound first, then let me pee. The vaginal ultrasound was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was expecting this huge thing poking me!! The wand is long, but not very wide- maybe as wide as a super absorbency tampon!?!? I hope that helps you get an idea of the width. It didn't hurt at all, and I almost forgot it was in there while she was doing the ultrasound. It was uncomfortable for just a few seconds when she had it on my ovaries. Good luck and you should be fine!

I had an operation when I was 16 years old and I was told by the doctor that ovarian cyst?

and now am 27 years old and had my menses from December to January, 26days, January to February 28 days, February to March 26 days, March to April, 28 days, April to May 24 days, and June to July 29 days could it be that, could it be that it has occurred again, and more so April I had a lot of rashes on my face, chest and back and when I went to the skin specialist he told me that it is acrn could that also have like with my ovarian problem and the left part of my ovary had be removed can I give birth, please explain.

I had an operation when I was 16 years old and I was told by the doctor that ovarian cyst?
you should go to your gynecologist %26amp; have this checked.

this is abnormal bleeding from what you describe...

you should still be able to have children with just a portion of one ovary removed (the other one still produces eggs %26amp; you probably still produce eggs with the one that was operated on).

you may have a fibroid in your uterus or more cysts.

please go get this checked out.
Reply:Yes, you can get pregnant and give birth, unless you have any other unknown problems. It only takes one ovary to get pregnant. It may take longer to conceive, but it can happen.

When I've had ovarian cyst in the past, I've never had any symptoms associated with them.

Reply:Go to the doc. asap! Please! I dont mean to scare you but my grandmother had a bump there and they found out it was cancerous 11 years ago if she wouldn't have gone she would of died. Its really a maricle that shes still around they gave her a very low gaurantee that she would make it. so go asap to the doc. and get it checked out!

What is this bump look alike in my inner thigh that comes and goes? Is it a cyst?

It could very well be a cyst caused by a ingrown hair follicle. Every time it bust you are probably removed the caught hair and then it grows back causing the same problem and therefore enlarging the pore each time. When it comes again go to the doctor they should give you some antibiotics and a prescription for some sort of cream that is applied to draw out the head. This will help the pore to resize and go away. In australia we would use ethonal or magnoplasm dont know where your from or whats available. I have a similiar problem where my togs rubbed as a teenager I would get the same thing, my mum took me to docs got the cream and tablets and I never got it again. But, you might need to do it a couple of times just to make sure.

What is the best way to remove an in-grown hair that seems to have turned into a cyst?

Do not attempt to remove this on your own. You are talking about a cyst and while it is probably not serious, you need to worry about infection thru bacteria. Go see a dermatologist. If one is not available to you, at the very least, see your family physician or go to a health care clinic.

Good Luck.

What is the best way to remove an in-grown hair that seems to have turned into a cyst?
This isn't something you should try yourself. Serious infection could result.

You should consult your physician.

If you can, call the doctor or a help line. Explain what's wrong and hopefully you will find an answer. Good luck!
Reply:Have you gone to the doctor to be evaluated? If not, you should. What if this causes sterility? It is very important to have things like this checked. Don't be embarassed. It is a doctor's job to inspect the human body. Please go before it is to late.
Reply:have you ever had your physical..?

the dr checks for those things...

he told me that if i ever felt any weird lumps or anything that it could be cancer and to tell him immeadetly
Reply:A cyst generally isn't a problem. If it's cancer, then they will remove the testicle. Hopefully it hasn't spread. You can still have kids if you only have one testicle. If they want to remove both your testicles, you should look into having your sperm frozen so you can have kids later on. Yes, you can still get an erection if you have no testicles.

You should go to the doc and have them checked every single year. It's important.
Reply:No, I'm sure its just a cyst. Dont worry about cancer, specially if youre young, if youre worried about it, just call your doctor and ask for a Nurse to talk to.

Everything will be fine.

Is it true that Rush Limbaugh got out of being drafted during Vietnam because he had a cyst?

Here's how it went down. Being from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where he flunked out of Southeast Missouri State. That made him eligible for the Vietnam draft. His father was a lawyer and his grandfather was a judge (even has a library named after him in Cape Girardeau). By some miracle, Rush III was declared 4F (medically unfit for duty) due to a Pilonidal cyst in an unspecified location. Now, those who are able to put two and two together need no further explanation as to how someone would get out of the draft for a cyst. His father and grandfather were rich and well respected members of the community. Rush never served his country, when he could have. Yet he takes every opportunity to badmouth people like John Kerry, a true war hero. Rush never even completed college after flunking out of SEMO. He has no qualifications to talk about politics whatsoever. He's simply a windbag with an opinion and the gift of gab. He has sheepish followers who hang on his every (albeit uneducated) word.

Is it normal with developing breasts before a menstrual cycle to have a lump in one? perhaps a cyst?
Probably not. Breasts are full of glands %26amp; ducts, so more than likely, one of those is the lump you're feeling.

If you've never had one (and it's likely you haven't if you're pre-pubescent), and you don't have a gynecologist go talk to your family doctor and ask him to do a breast exam and to teach you how to do a self-exam - something we girls should all be doing on at least a monthly basis. :)

There's a 99.9% chance you're perfectly normal %26amp; healthy.

my sister gets lumps during her cycle, but she knows that she is getting them and checks herself regularly to be sure that there hasn't been a change.

in fact, if this is something new, i would probably talk to my doctor about it to be absolutely sure.

That is to say if you have no insurance and you found out that you had a brain cyst and will die what do you d

Apply for medical assistance. You will need to submit documentation of your illness as well as various other information (pay stubs, proof of residency, proof of identity) in order to be considered.

My oldest son was diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst almost two years ago and we go in for annual exams to monitor it's size. So far, so good!

Good luck!

That is to say if you have no insurance and you found out that you had a brain cyst and will die what do you d
Because I live in the US I would go to the hospital where they don't turn you down if you have no money. Now you didn't say if you had like $1,000,000 in the bank and didn't want to spend it.
Reply:You go to the fanciest bank in town, with a brick, insert brick through glass window during daylight hours, and rant incoherently in strange tongues (pretend you are a drunken Margaret Thatcher). They take you to the police station and then for psychiatric evaluation, they determine you are going to die because of the brain tumour as soon as they learn you have one, (which makes a good excuse for smashing windows), and the government has to pay for your operation. Brain cysts are not always fatal, it depends on their location and if they are benign or growing, but they can't be sure how they effect your behaviour, if it (your behaviour) causes a problem they have to deal with it. Good luck.

I had a CT scan back in 1988 that found a 2cm cyst in my brain. They thought it was a congenital (birth) defect. Since that time, my cyst has grown slowly to 5-6 cm and I am having more headaches but I am afraid of the risk of brain surgery based on where the cyst is. I might die from my cyst but have not yet.

If the cyst is caused by an infection, it may kill you. These infections are usually in AIDS patients.

Insurance won't save you. Any Medical School / University Hospital center has Hill-Burton Funds to care for people without insurance. It may require work and travel on your part to get care but care is available for anyone.

What can a sex partner contract from someone who has never had sex but has an ovarian cyst?

A girlfriend with an ovarian cyst. Simple. Sweet. The answer is that you are all that he can contract. An ovarian cyst is not a transmittable disease. However if you have ever used a "girlfriends" vibrator or had "fingering" done, though chances are slim, you could pass something to him

Very bad lower adominal pain and pelvic pain on my left side?Been to OBGYN Have a cyst. What can I do for pain
The only thing I could do to help with the pain of cysts is to take an anti-inflammatory med (Motrin, Ibuprofen) and rest with a heating pad on either your stomach or back, wherever it feels best. Until you can see the doc, there's not much else you can do. Sorry.
Reply:if the bad pain is now- go to ER-

if u can wait call MD in the morning to let them know u are in incredible pain- see if they can write u a prescription for somethin for the time in between seeing the endocrinologist
Reply:Sounds like PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)! The same thing happened to me, and I am going through the same thing right now with an endocrinologist. I would recommend getting a referral to a different endo - one that can see you sooner!

For the pain associated with a ruptured cyst, I laid in bed as much as I could with a heating pad and took 3 advil every few hours. I also tried to avoid twisting motions as much as possible.

The fact that your doctor has you on the pill will help prevent new cysts from forming, so that's a step in the right direction. It will also bring down your levels of testosterone...also good. However, a lot of people believe that PCOS can be caused by insulin resistance (basically what happens before diabetes), so be sure to limit your sugar, bread, pasta, potato, etc intake. Losing weight will help bring your levels down to normal on their own. Try The Zone diet, or any other Low Glycemic Index diet like South Beach. I'm sure your endo will talk to you about it, but it definitely sounds like you have PCOS, and all these things I mentioned will help.

I went to the doctors the other day and they told me that i might have an ovarian cyst.?

can anyone please tell me what that is and what it means for me?

I went to the doctors the other day and they told me that i might have an ovarian cyst.?
Many women have cysts on their ovaries and never even know it. Most of the time the cysts re-absorb back into the body but sometimes a cyst can become large and cause abdominal pain. Usually if you give it time the cyst will resolve itself but in some cases it can grow larger and become an aggravating problem with continuing pain.

Your Doctor will probably order an ultrasound to determine the location and size of the cyst and if there is any danger involved.

After those results come back to him, he will recommend the proper treatment.

Most of the time worst case scenario would be for them to do a Laproscopic procedure to remove the cyst if it is problematic or in my case if a cyst bursts inside your ovary, they would have to remove the entire ovary also a very minor surgical procedure.

Try not to worry about it too much until you get more information from your Doctor. What happened to me is extremely rare.

Good luck and God Bless!
Reply:it's a mass on your ovary. They can be large or small. Many women have them. Sometimes they can be treated with birth control pills. They cause pain, especially around your period. They obviously aren't life threatening, or your doc would've taken immediate procedures. It's common in women and nothing to get all worried about. They are uncomfortable but they can be controlled with the pill. Talk to your doc and your mom about getting on the pill.
Reply:The last answer is 100% informative, and I have had many...don't worry, you will be ok!

Is it normal to never stop bleeding after 2 months under Diane 35, this to help the cyst ovaries?

This isn't normal but it isn't abnormal either. It means that you need a higher dosage of the pill. This happened to me. I was on Diane 35 and then it was increased to 50 (don't remember if it was still Diane or microgynon). I was still having break through bleeding and ended up on 2 50 bc pills a day. It continued until my gyno inserted a mirena iud. Are you on the bc because of PCOS?

Is it normal to never stop bleeding after 2 months under Diane 35, this to help the cyst ovaries?
No. If after 2 months you are still bleeding it probably isn't strong enough and you need to try another pill. I have heard of people that stop bleeding and that is sometimes normal but you shouldn't be constantly bleeding.

Why would a nodule/growth seen on CAT scan disappear one month later? Could it have been a cyst?

doctor's thought it was a cancerous growth, perhaps, but now it's gone..

Why would a nodule/growth seen on CAT scan disappear one month later? Could it have been a cyst?
it could have been a inflammatory mass or artifact which disappeared spontaneously.

my cramps are on and off all day long.

I have been cramping 1 whole week. and my period didn't come. i also have an ovarian cyst. help!!!!!?
time to call the doctor.. to check that ovarian cyst again to see if it has enlarged. Go to the E.R. if you experience dizziness and nausia as these are signs of a more serious issue.
Reply:Magnesium, 200 mg can help w/cramps.
Reply:i suggest paying a visit to your gyno. Ive had ovarian cyst and you might wanna get that checked out, the cramps may be due to them.

How much should trtmnt cost for dog with black spot on the iris of his eye (poss iris cyst/ocular melanosis)?

The best option would be to just remove the affected eye. That would completely solve the problem and is more cost effective than other treatments. Other options are not 100% effective in dealing with this. I assume this is a Cairn? It is a problem most common with this breed, but others can get it too. It runs about $300- $500 for enucleation.

What happens if you only have one ovary, but you loose that one due to an ovarian Cyst?? You become infertile?

No ovaries=no eggs to fertilize.

What happens if you only have one ovary, but you loose that one due to an ovarian Cyst?? You become infertile?
yup
Reply:yep you do
Reply:That happened to my mom when she was pregnant with my older sister, and she was still fertile enough to have me! I think that the one ovary just works double time. She still got the normal amount of periods, though.

--------------------------------------...

Sorry I just realized that you were saying that the person would be without ovaries. my mom just lost one. But if you don't have an ovary, you can't produce eggs, and therefore cannot reproduce.
Reply:technically yes. if you still have the ovary right now though, you can probably harvest the eggs before it is removed so that you could still have a biological child. If you do this, then when you are ready for a child you and your partner would have to use IVF (in-vitro fertilization) to combine your egg and his sperm to create an embryo. Dr.s could then implant your uterus with the embryo so you would still end up being able to concieve and carry your own biological child, the process of conception just gets a little more complicated!
Reply:If you have one ovulating ovary then you can still have the chance to have kids. I had an ovarian cyst that put me in the hospital for 2 days and I lost one of my ovaries, I asked the doctor the same question you asked and thats what he told me. I got bad ovarian cysts because I went off birth control after being on it for almost 10 years. Ovulation was so painful the year I was off birth control that I eventually went back on it again.

Oh dang. I seem to have grown a lump on my nose? It is most certainly not a cyst or pimple! It isn't sore?

Cancer? It just feels like a bone... But I know it's not. =[ And it can't be a bruise or anything because it's not sore, at all.

When did Yahoo! Answers become a substitute for a doctor visit?

Go have your cancer checked by a professional.
Reply:It could be a whitehead. You might try applying a warm compress to see if it comes to a head. If it doesn't ,don't pick it. Go see a doctor and have it checked out.

Wat is a mammogram/mammography?wat will it show that a xray cannot?wats difference b/w cyst,fibroid,cancer?

A mash-o-gram (as my wife calls them) is in fact an x-ray.

If you are thinking of a chest x-ray, then a mamogram shows only breast tissue and not the thickness of the chest. Therefore, there is more things that can be seen by the radiologist.

A cyst is a sac that contains fluid or semi-solids--perhaps an encapsulated infection.

A fibroid is usually associated with the uterus--a benign thickening of the muscle wall----I'm no doctor, but i don't think breasts have fibroids.

And cancer of the breast can be either malignant to varying degrees or benign---the whole reason for a mammogram. The earlier a cancer is detected, the easier to treat and the more likely a successful treatment.

I break out right before i start my period, sometimes the breakouts are so bad that i get cyst on my face.?

i have been using a new medicated face wash and it works great all month long until i get ready to start. My question is, Will birth control pills help with my hormone level and reduce my breakouts?

I break out right before i start my period, sometimes the breakouts are so bad that i get cyst on my face.?
From what i've heard, low dose b.c.pills are the answer...what youre experiencing is definately hormonal and no topical treatment will get rid of that deep cystic stuff...good luck!
Reply:Yes they will.

It can't get much simplier than that.

It will help with both.

I have no breakouts now.

I had none after 6 months of birth control pills.
Reply:It didn't help me, but there are lots of new choices in birth control now, the even have one I believe its the Orth Tri Cyclen, that has acne med in it or something. Give the doc a call he/she will be the best advisor on this.
Reply:using the right pill(therefore a pill with low levels of hormones-esp oestrogen) might alleviate your problem, i'd say -give it a shot.
Reply:Why don't you go to a dermatologist. so you can try something new.

Do i start having children. am 30 and single and have had a major surgery on ovarian cyst four years ago.?

You can still have children. I know a person who only has one fallopian tube and had two children after her operation. If you can handle the responsibility of having children, have children. I would also recommend that you provide two parents in the home for your child's sake. Although you may be able to handle the situation of bieng a single mother, you have to think what is best for your child as well.

Do i start having children. am 30 and single and have had a major surgery on ovarian cyst four years ago.?
Not a problem. You can still have kids.
Reply:Yes young lady .Marry and have children.
Reply:If you have a love for children then I see no problem with you having kids. But don't forget that when you get into your mid thirties, the chance for pregnancy complications rise so ya better get started!
Reply:First, you must pray for God to send you the perfect husband for you. You must pray for the children that you wish to receive/conceive. Get married, be fruitful and multiply as God has commanded.

I am 51 years old..woman..still having her periods..when will it stop.will a cyst on my ovary affect this??

Wow. I am 52 and still going, and wondering too. An ovarian cyst is due partially to hormonal imbalance, so the reason you have the cyst might help you stop. Unfortunately ovarian cysts may be incredibly painful - an possibly dangerous if they cause hemorrhage.

I am on an anti-yeast, anti-diabetic diet and I think it is helping keep my hormones level, which keeps my period going. Yuck.

I am 51 years old..woman..still having her periods..when will it stop.will a cyst on my ovary affect this??
It isn't good to be 51 and have a cystic ovary... the chance for it to change over to malignancy is quite difficult to determine. Make sure to ask your doc about what's going on.
Reply:It depends on when you started for it to end. Take the year you got your first and add 30. If it doesn't equal 51 or anything near, go see a doctor.

What is treatment of polycystic ovaries? Both the ovaries show presence of multiple small clear cortical cyst.

I had ovarian cysts on both ovaries. I was alos on birthcontrol and still got pregnant. So I'm sure your chances are good, but talk to your OB/GYN.

I was told I couldn't have kids because of problems like that with my ovaries...I have a 4 year old daughter.

Puppy got vaccination, and now a bump on his back between his sholders. Could it be cyst? I JUST noticed it.?

Ive had my puppy for about a month and a half hes very healthy, hyper, friendly but this bump i found seems to be the size of a gum drop and i can really grab it. Im not sure if it has anything to do with teh shot he got, or if its cancerious?

Puppy got vaccination, and now a bump on his back between his sholders. Could it be cyst? I JUST noticed it.?
Dogs will sometimes get that at the injection site. Its the vaccine sitting there, it hasn't absorbed into the body.

It'll go down in a couple days, nothing to worry about.
Reply:Next time you take him to the vet for vaccinations, have the vet take a look at it. It just may be where he got his last vaccination...if that is true, then it should go down in several days. Don't let it worry you. Best of luck.
Reply:She probably has a "sterile abscess". They are very common. Watch it over the next week. If it gets bigger, take her back to the vet. Otherwise, it'll go away on its own.
Reply:It is probably a reaction from the shot but I would call your vet just to make sure
Reply:It would be very unusual for her to have a cyst but not unheard of. Some dogs are prone to cysts. If this is the site of her injection than I would rather think it's a reaction to the shot. Watch it carefully and if it gets any larger a vet visit is in order.
Reply:Have the vet doctor take a look at it.
Reply:Sometimes after having a shot the dog will have a reaction to the shots and get a lump. Most times it will reduce in size over a week or so and be gone. If it does not go away on its own I would have the vet look at it. There have been incidences of vaccine carcoma and it could be that but most likely it is just a reaction to the shot.
Reply:My dog had one after his first shot - the vet didn't place the needle correctly %26amp; it swelled up and impaired his walking, was sore etc for him we toook him back to the vet they put him on meds till it cleared %26amp; he was fine after

call yor vet
Reply:Often times pets (like people) will show reactions to a vaccination. Signs like: swelling at the injection site, pain at the site, or the animal hiding or not eating for 24 hours afterwords is very common.

Most likely your puppy is experiencing a type of reaction to where the shot was administered. Keep an eye on the site, don't pull at it, and it should go back to normal in a few days as the vaccine takes effect.

If the bump gets bigger, doesn't go away with in a week, or you notice other symptoms like limping, not eating, not playing, pain... then take it back to your veterinarian for an exam.

Again, reactions to vaccinations are normal.

Reply:We were told after our pup got his vaccinations to gently massage the area to help distribute the meds. Could be just a build up. I'd try rubbing it often and see if that helps if its only been within the last couple of days since he got it.

My last two periods had dark clots and what looks like cold, I do have a cyst...why is that?

Small clots are ok, big clots are not. What do you mean cold????

I have had history of getting my periods 10 days early, dr. told me either a cyst or fibroids, have hysto??

can't take birth control, have had hx. of depression

I have had history of getting my periods 10 days early, dr. told me either a cyst or fibroids, have hysto??
A hysterectomy is an extreme solution for such a common problem. Having a hysterectomy can give you all sorts of other, much more severe, problems. In actuality, a majority of women are not the typical text book case of menstrual flow. Cysts and fibroids are not always the case. You may also have PCOS. Or you may just be like many other women who have irregular periods. Also, being overweight can also cause this.
Reply:its probably irregular.
Reply:doctor is wrong everything is fine
Reply:I think there are less radical things to do, your uterus is important to your estrogen production, I think it supplies some blood flow to the ovaries......

Do some more research...
Reply:it depends how old you are and if you have children this is what happened to me i was 39 and had full hysterectomy
Reply:Doesn't sound like a good doctor to me. A gynecologist should be able to rule out if it is a cyst or fibroids. I had fibroids and I was bleeding all the time. A nurse practitioner told me it was probably my birth control pills doing it to me. Then I asked for a doctor and sure enough it was fibroids which I had removed. The operation is only 20 minutes depending on the procedure.
Reply:I hate to say it but you may want a second opinion if you are unsure. But really think about the possibility that you don't want to mess with your insides if something is wrong. Depends on where these cysts are. Ovarian cysts are normal everyone gets them every month they are how the eggs get out of your ovaries. On the other hand if they do not break they can cause issues. Mine had to be poped several times. Are you anywhere near menopause?? Maybe meds would help. P.S. Depression can send your cycle into a tailspin. Ask doctor about treating that instead. If you are really not comfortable with the answers to your questions from your doctor try speaking to a homeopathic doctor as they treat mind body and spirit not just body. Worth a try if you want kids in your future or if you are going through menopause. PPS this is brian's wife answering not Brian. Good luck and remember there is no stupid questions only inadequate answers. So sit your doctor down and ask away, it's their job to answer. As far as I know fibriods are treatable.

Hi, what food should I avoid post-surgery? Just a minor one to remove a lump/cyst. thanks?

Probably none, but ask the doctor or doctor's nurse.

Hi, what food should I avoid post-surgery? Just a minor one to remove a lump/cyst. thanks?
Avoid anything that costs more than a dime - save money to keep the "healthcare professionals" happy!
Reply:i had a fibroadenoma removed from my boob, and i could eat anything i wanted. it really depends on where you had the lump removed from, if it was anywhere like your throat or stomach, i could see avoiding foods, but if it was like your boob or ankle, you can eat any food you want!
Reply:Ask your doctor - and do it beforehand! It may be that you don't need to avoid anything - on the other hand, the type of anesthesia you receive will have a lot to do with what your system may tolerate in the 24 hours following the procedure.
Reply:Eat whatever you want.

The issue of eating is related to anesthesia, unless the surgery is on your mouth, throat or digestive tract.

If it isn't in those areas, eat what appeals. If it makes you nauseous, don't eat it.

Usually they start with clear liquids (anything you can see through, plus sherbet, popsicles, juice, jello, etc.), then full liquids (those you cannot see through--including ice cream, soups, thin cooked cereals), then soft bland, then regular.

You can start with regular food if you want to, and back up if it is disagreeable.
Reply:one that i know is foods containing garlic.

they say garlic would prevent blood from clotting.
Reply:My coworker just had the same minor procedure. She kept hydrated and ate broccoli and blueberries (which are a good antioxidant).

I have small pain on the right side of my ovary...not a severe pain..but an ache...nothg else is wrong now,,except for this pain...is this dangerous ???...will this affect my baby???..somebody who knows the situation please reply..i am really in a dilema,,,,looking forward to a quick reply,,,,

I am 2 months pregnant.I had my first scan and i have CORPUS LEUTEUM...no cyst...?
It will not hurt the baby. It is necessary to maintain pregnancy.

PLease read this link...
Reply:why didn't you ask your doctor? I hope that everything works out ok. I am sure that the baby will be ok
Reply:The Dr should have explained this to you but anyway. A corpus lutetium on your ovary is just where you ovulated. It will stay there for a while because it is what releases the pregnancy hormones that keep you from miscarrying. Find you a good website or go to the library and check you out a good book on the female reproductive system. Most books will take you step by step through out ovulation and menses and explain the hormones accompanied at each phase. Hope that this helps. Good luck hon %26amp; I hope that you have a good and uneventful pregnancy!
Reply:I had the exact same thing. I guess all pregnant women have the corpus leutum but it will only develop into a cyst in some people. I'm 16 weeks pregnant now and for the first 8 weeks or so I had that ache also on my right ovary. The midwife said it's nothing to worry about and that it will dissolve when the placenta develops. They could see it on an ultrasound on my ovary but it was not posing a problem. If it develops into a cyst then it will need to be monitored. Talk to your doctor or midwife if you need more reassurance.

Do you think Rush will be hanging around the VFW today, bragging about how his anal cyst got him out of 'Nam

rush is a punk, typical of the many well off cons who couldn't be bothered. they are too many to name.

i am a veteran, i volunteered for rvn. i dropped out of college to serve my country. i felt it was my duty. now i listen to others knock me and other veterans. well, go for it. i am not taking it. anyone who is such a proponent of war as rush and sean and bush, etc. should hang their heads everytime another american is wounded or killed. can't see draft dodgers at all talking about patriotism. it also amazes me that a veteran would dog another veteran out over a jerk like rush. can't think much of you. i have never gone against any vet, regardless of his political persausion, but now.....

edit:dear amazin'g, its obvious, after checking a few of your answers, how superior that you think you are. people who were really patriotic found many ways to serve their country other than being an overweight divisive hypocrite. it makes me wonder why i wasted my time. i see how this country truly thinks of our military.

Do you think Rush will be hanging around the VFW today, bragging about how his anal cyst got him out of 'Nam
NO

but his anal cyst may be there bragging about how being attached to Rush was enough to keep it out
Reply:What's your point? That he didn't serve in "Nam"? So what. A whole lot of others didn't either. Doesn't make them good, or bad people.
Reply:Do people even still care what Rush does or says?
Reply:I would guess that he will probably be on the air.
Reply:So, tell us all about YOUR service.

Thanks for your service.

Still, I see no reason why you think it is of any intellectual merit or wit to deride Rush because he didn't serve. He's never denigrated the military or anybody's service.

And, at your age, you shouldn't be looking to get your ego stroked in a Rush-hating echo chamber like this. It's a bit unseemly.
Reply:No, he has better things to do

And not that only 10% of draft eligible males were actually drafted during the vietnam years.

And only about 50% of them, were ever sent to vietnam.
Reply:No. Big ted Kennedy will be bragging about how deadly he is with a fifth and a caddy.
Reply:Quit being an anal cyst.
Reply:Rush knows how much of a hypocrite he is and he would be reminded of it if he went to a VFW hall today so I would say he will crawl back into his dirty little hole and wait to spew his venom another time.
Reply:No...he would be there thanking all vets profusely for doing what very few people choose to do...defend this country by use of force.

What do you expect from a sailor ?

I'm a Nam vet and have NO problem with Rush not serving...at least he didn't take part in antiwar protests like Shrillary did !

Do you have pain in the back of thigh and knee when there is a bakers cyst there?

Not always

Is it possible to get pregnant naturally with one fallopian tube blocked with fluid and making cyst?

If the other side is working properly I would say you do have a chance but it will take longer. Most women alternate sides from which they ovulate but not in a regular pattern ie: two months in a row it could be the right and the next the left and then back to the right. The only way to know for sure which side is to get an ultrasound done. You might consult with an OB to see what their recommendations are for you to try on your own first and how long it might take you - ie: are you willing to try for years on your own or is a year your limit? It will also depend on the cysts as well. They might affect more than the right side unless your OB tells you otherwise. Not being a doctor, I can't say for certain but I would think it is possible. Best of luck to you and remember it takes people without your condition 6-12 months of trying to conceive so don't ever give up hope!

Is it possible to get pregnant naturally with one fallopian tube blocked with fluid and making cyst?
Chances are very less to none. But you can get pregnant by In Vetro Fertilization Technique
Reply:My mom got pregnant with me after she lost an entire fallopian tube to a tubal pregnancy. This was back in the 50's. So I would say that you can get pregnant. Just be patient.
Reply:Yup because I got pregnant and lost my baby in Jan of this yr due to a fall at work.My baby would have been due last week.I only have one tube due to a tubal late last yr and they removed part of my right tube.So I guess if yours is blocked and I don't have part of mine, sure you can. That one will work just fine in place of the other one.You know like when you only have one arm that one arm is strong.Your body will adjust and make a way.

Does a "hypodense renal mass" mean cancer or could it be something less ominous, like a cyst?

My husband underwent KUB and a CT scan on Friday to detect whether he had a kidney stone, which was negative, but he also was shown to have a large hypodense renal mass on his left kidney. His urinalysis also showed blood. I am worried.

Does a "hypodense renal mass" mean cancer or could it be something less ominous, like a cyst?
A hypodense renal mass can be a cyst, a benign tumor, but can also be cancer. You should find a doctor to have an biopsy, or even surgery if it is needed.

Now you really don't know what you are dealing with and you really need to know before anything else. Good luck

in both case she needs to see the vet
Reply:go to google and see the internet has answered all my questions about different things and it should answer urs to
Reply:I don't really know much about dwarf hamsters, but if it hasn't had the chance to get pregnant, then i advise you to take it to the vets, which would probably be a good idea anyway.

Good luck!
Reply:is the lump on her head or leg? You can be pretty sure shes not preggers if it is!
Reply:I found this on the web about pregnancy in hamsters. As there are few clues to a hamster being pregnant, you may have to assume it is a cyst and get it checked straigt away by a vet.

Syrian hamsters are pregnant 16-19 days, dwarf hamster 19-22 days. Don't disturb the mother or she might eat or abandon her babies. As soon as the babies come out by themselve, you should move them with the mother (and the nest) to a large aquarium so that the babies cannot escape through the bars.

You can take her to the vet to be sure, otherwise you will have to wait if she gives birth because it's next to impossible to see if a hamster is pregnant. If she does give birth to babies, try top find new homes for them as soon as possible. Although hamsters are cute, this won't be easy. Hamsters sold to pet shops often end as snake dinners. Besides, you never know who will buy them then. They must be seperated from their mother when they are three weeks old (but not sooner) and you must seperate male and female babies because they can mate when they are four weeks old.

I hope I was of some help

What is deprovero? i go to health chat they said this can help to shrink the cyst is a medication?

The depo shot is indeed a form of birth control and yes ANY birth control helps to shrink cysts, BUT the depo shot has caused many women i know to have diffucilty getting pregnant. In any case do not pay to have your doc give you this shot! You can go to your local health department and get the pill or the shot for FREE!

I have a hard lump down there on the labia that hurts. Is it a cyst?

It doesn't look like anything more then a bump.

I have a hard lump down there on the labia that hurts. Is it a cyst?
I've had them. They hurt really bad too. I believe its starts as an ingrown hair. Don't mess with it...I've never gone to the doctor for it (but you should do what you think is best) Mine always went away after a week or so....it may get worse before it gets better.

Sure its always wise to seek medical attention...I'm just sharing with you my experiance. I considered seeing a Dr. for it in the past...but I always waited it out a few days...and found that it just went away....
Reply:Could be but don't mess around with crap like that, get it checked out. ASAP!!
Reply:i'm not sure, but i would go see a doctor about your problem... you do not want to wait on something like that.

it is better to be safe then sorry.

good luck.
Reply:go ahead and consult a specialist asap, especially if it hurts
Reply:Most probably it is a partholine cyst if it herts it means it gets inflammed . see gynecologist .
Reply:It sounds like a blind pimple. It's under the skin and hurts like hell, but if left alone will go away. Don't keep touching it. I sometimes get these and they go away after about a week. You could also try putting cortisone cream on it, to shut it down early.
Reply:I had a Bartholin cysts there--it would get hard--get bigger ect---the doctor would drain it sometimes with a syringe--then he lanced it--but in the end I had it surgically removed---show your GYN this......ps--i am a nurse
Reply:It can be something minor such as an irritated inflammation. If it goes away then there is no need to worry. But if you have more the one bump it might be something that a doctor needs to look at to determine what it may be. But i had one and touching and poking it is going to make it worse. So leave it alone for a couple of days and then get a mirror and check if its still there.

Where my ear piercing is there is a lump like a blind pimple or a cyst. How can i get rid of it?

I havent been wearing any strange earings and i try to give my ears a break and swap sterling sliver and surgeical steel ones. I never borrow other peoples earings and the lump isnt noticable it just hurts a little bit when you touch it. Any ideas?

Where my ear piercing is there is a lump like a blind pimple or a cyst. How can i get rid of it?
It probably is scar tissue. Whenever the body receives a trauma (which piercing is) or is exposed to a foreign body (like earrings) one of the ways it responds as it heals is to form scar tissue at the site. As long as the area isn't red, warm to the touch, swollen, painful all the time and/or draining pus (all of which could mean an infection or allergy) then it is probably scar tissue which won't go away, but is not harmful.
Reply:its an infection. Remove the earring let it heal up and use gold earrings if you decide to pierce it again.
Reply:It could be a little keloid scar. They can go away on their own with time, but to help it along you can put a baking powder mask on it. Get a little baking powder (1tsp) and mix in wnough water to make a paste. Put it on and let it do its job. After a little while, maybe 30 minutes, it will dry and you can wash it off. Repeat once a day for a week or so, you should notice improvement soon. Good Luck.
Reply:I think it is just irritation. Mine get like that sometimes. I don't wear earrings very often so, when I do, I tear the skin a bit to get them in. They do get red and warm to touch, but this goes away with time once I remove the earrings. Just be sure to sterilize your earrings and wash your hands before you touch your ears- your body's natural defenses will prevent a full-blown infection from occurring. A bit of hydrogen peroxide applied to the ears also helps.

Is there anything I can do to help take away the pain of an ovarian cyst other than taking OTC pain medicine?

I take a medicine that causes me not to be able to use ibuprofen, aspirin, or tylenol type products.

Is there anything I can do to help take away the pain of an ovarian cyst other than taking OTC pain medicine?
consult a Doctor.
Reply:You need to call your doc and ask him what he recommends for you. If you are limited in what you can take your best bet is to ask the doc so call and talk to his nurse about this.
Reply:I can see why you couldn't be able to use aspirin and ibuprofen since they thin the blood but I'm not sure why you can't use tylenol products. Your doctor should be able to suggest something or recommend something.
Reply:moist heat over abdominal area helps me....I take a towel, wet it and put in microwave to heat. Then I kick back and just put it right on my lower abdomen. When I am able, I also sit in a warm tub, gradually increasing hot water until it is QUITE warm. I have had ovarian cysts 'pop' with this treatment. Just don't stay in hot water longer than 10 minutes or so, as it will make you faint. Good luck and God bless.
Reply:My daughter had the same problem and my suggestion is that you see a gynaecologist and and see if the cyst can be drained .I have seen her in pain and it had to be checked .You have to have done more than once at the same time you are sure that it isn't anything more than a cyst . You can't be too careful and you have take any kind of pain seriously and have it checked by a specialist .Good luck

I discovered a lump in my groin, some people said it may be a hernia, cyst or swollen lymph node?

This only gets sore while walking alot, not painful. It does disappear while lying and sitting down. I have an appointment in 2 weeks, any advice will help!

I discovered a lump in my groin, some people said it may be a hernia, cyst or swollen lymph node?
You should go to the hospital a.s.a.p. If you have an appointment in two weeks, it may get worse than it is now. I had a partial stroke and I called my doctors office for an appointment, they said she was going to be out of town for two weeks be cause of a meeting.

So I made no appointment and went straight to the hospital, and it was a very wise decision. Cause you never know if it is very bad or not, the best thing is to get it checked out.
Reply:no harm in seeing a doc about it...

could even be something as simple as an ingrown hair.
Reply:A cyst doesn't disappear when you lye down and a swollen lymph gland is painfull. Probably a hernia.

How long should I be on pain medication after I have surgery for a pilonidal cyst?

When the surgery area from the pilonidal cyst surgery is left open, there is less likelihood of recurrence. However, the area can take up to 2 months before it is fully healed and the wound will require daily treatment for at least as long. Pilonidal cyst surgery will not require a stay in the hospital and most patients will want to rest completely for about a week.

What do you know about the effect of sunbathing on the overall health after ovarian cyst removal?

The answers from health specialists and the ones with such kind of experience are welcome.

What do you know about the effect of sunbathing on the overall health after ovarian cyst removal?
There should be no effect. Just don't have your scar exposed to the sun, as it is very fragile and will burn and blister.
Reply:It's bad for your skin, whether you've had a cystectomy or not.
Reply:According to a recent survey of attitudes to suntans conducted by the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, vanity plays a lethal part, as does fashion.Sun damage has a slow cumulative effect, and apart from the changing appearance of moles is invisible. While non-melanoma takes longer to develop, around 40 years, melanoma starts to kick in during early adulthood and peaks in the 30s-40s age groups.

I have this pimple on my chin, that is like a bump, its like a cyst. im going on vacation next monday and I...

need it gone. please help, its really affecting me.

I have this pimple on my chin, that is like a bump, its like a cyst. im going on vacation next monday and I...
fill a cup with HOT water and SALT and soak the affected area in the solution..... you will see great improvement overnight.
Reply:it's funny but it's tested...apply a red lipstick on it before going to bed after cleaning your face...check it the next day..it's really effective...if it doesn't perfectly fade, do it again...but in my case, i did it only once and voila, it faded...oh!..if ur pimple is really tough headed or something..try panoxyl...
Reply:I get those. I've found that using an antibacterial soap or antibacterial hand cleaner (like Purel) several times a day really helps because it's essentially an infection of multiple pores. Add some Neosporin to that and it will take a couple of days, but will definitely start going down.
Reply:first try cleaning the area with rubbing alcohol, then use a warm cloth and let it sit in the area for a little bit..and use windex!! it actually works, yes i tried. the amonia in it will dry up the pimple and it will go away within 2 days.. you have to keep doing this a coule times a day and DO NOT TOUCH the pimple with your fingers.
Reply:If you had more time, I'd say see a dermatologist for an injection of Kenalog into the cyst. It's a very tiny dose of steroid that shrinks the tissue where the injection was given.

I have this pimple on my chin, that is like a bump, its like a cyst. im going on vacation next monday and I..?

really need it gone. it wont come to head so i can pop it, and makes me not even wanna go out because of it being like a big red inflamed thing

I have this pimple on my chin, that is like a bump, its like a cyst. im going on vacation next monday and I..?
don't not go on vacation cause of a lil' thing like a pimple. use hot water when you wash your face, then try an astringent pad to clean it. don't try popping it cause it will just irritate it more.....oh, and if it's still there while you're on vay-cay, just go out at nite!
Reply:leave it alone. it'll be gone by next month.
Reply:Go to a tanning booth every other day for a few minutes.
Reply:if you keep putting a really hot compress on it (like a hot wet washcloth) it will help it come to a head faster.
Reply:um.. if you have a girlfriend, use her foundation and cover up.
Reply:You can actually use a needle and make a tiny hole in the center, that way it has a way to release it's self. You can then use heat to help it come out as well. But I would try a needle!
Reply:Ahhh, the "undergrounder", hard to get rid of, but try a little toothpaste on it at night, alcohol. You need to dry it up! Good luck!
Reply:Try freederm gel for acne. Apply savlon or other antiseptic cream. Don't worry about it - i doubt anyones going to stop a galloping horse to look at your chin. There are far worse sights than that to gawp at on holiday.
Reply:Popping it could leave a scar on your face.

Also, Don't touch it, you are just putting MORE dirt in it. Try Noxema cleansing pads twice a day for 1 or 2 weeks your face will be zit free!
Reply:Definitly try the hot compress, it will come to a head faster therefore popping quicker and then it will go away!

What can happen to a women down there after sex if she has an ovarian cyst?

I think you need to read a bit about ovarian cysts. Sex has nothing to do with the cyst. The cyst needs to be watched from time to time. You are prefectly normal, millions of women have cysts. Please read some materisl:

My brother is 15 years old and was just diagnosed with having a Intracranial dermoid cyst. what is that?

Dermoid cysts may contain substances such as nails and dental, cartilagelike, and bonelike structures. If limited to the skin or subcutaneous tissue, dermoid cysts are thin-walled tumors that contain different amounts of fatty masses; occasionally, they contain horny masses and hairs.

My brother is 15 years old and was just diagnosed with having a Intracranial dermoid cyst. what is that?
Background

The term dermoid cyst does not appear to be restricted to a single kind of lesion nor is it used in only a single medical discipline. The term dermoid cyst can be found in the vocabulary of dermatologists, dermatopathologists, general pathologists, gynecologists, neurosurgeons, or pediatricians. If asked, all of these clinicians would most probably define and describe dermoid cysts differently. For example, gynecologists and general pathologists would say that a dermoid cyst is associated primarily with a cystic tumor of the ovary. In contrast, neurosurgeons would say that a dermoid cyst is associated with a congenital cyst of the spine or an intracranial congential cyst. For pediatricians and dermatologists, dermoid cyst means subcutaneous cysts, which are usually congenital.

In all disciplines, however, the common factor is the presence of a solitary, or occasionally multiple, hamartomatous tumor. The tumor is covered by a thick dermislike wall that contains multiple sebaceous glands and almost all skin adnexa. Hairs and large amounts of fatty masses cover poorly to fully differentiated structures derived from the ectoderm.

Depending on the location of the lesion, dermoid cysts may contain substances such as nails and dental, cartilagelike, and bonelike structures. If limited to the skin or subcutaneous tissue, dermoid cysts are thin-walled tumors that contain different amounts of fatty masses; occasionally, they contain horny masses and hairs.

Pathophysiology

Dermoid cysts in the skin and subcutis occur mostly on the face, neck, or scalp.

In addition to the skin, dermoid cysts can be intracranial, intraspinal, or perispinal. Intra-abdominal cysts, such as cystic tumors of the ovary or omentum, occur as well.

Frequency

United States

No information is available about the prevalence of dermoid cysts. In gynecology, the literature describes dermoid cysts as relatively rare tumors, a cystic teratoma that most often occurs in individuals aged 15-40 years. In neurosurgery, dermoid cysts are rare. In dermatology and pediatrics, dermoid cysts are relatively uncommon.

Girls Please Answer! i have to get a Transvaginal ultrasound done cuz i have a cyst on my ovary and i"m scared

DOES IT HURT?

AND WHAT EXACTLY SHOULD I EXPECT?

Girls Please Answer! i have to get a Transvaginal ultrasound done cuz i have a cyst on my ovary and i"m scared
it goes from uncomfortable to pain depending on the person. it really is a huge probe. please realize that I'm not female. but I did work in a lab
Reply:dnt b scared, of any operation for tht matter, i mean i haven't had it done, but i did have a major operation in matter of life or death wen i waz 8, let me reassure you, there is absolutely nothing to worry about, if will b ova b4 u can say 'aiight i'm ready'
Reply:cyst don't hurt and you won't believe it but cyst are common and a lot of woman have them. it can go away by itself so don't worry about it. just follow your doctor's instructions and you will be fine.
Reply:this is not an operation. You can email me at starbabe87@gmail.com and I can tell you what to expect.
Reply:It's really no big deal. I was nervous too - when they said an 'ultrasound' I wasn't expecting THAT kind of an ultrasound. But if you can handle a basic yearly pelvic exam, you can handle this ultrasound with no problem. They just partially insert a small ultrasound device, and press it lightly against the inside of you towards your ovary. It doesn't hurt at all, just a little pressure, no more than like inserting a tampon. You will be fine.
Reply:Hi sweetie! No it doesn't hurt, but it's not comfortable, meaning that they put the thing inside your vagina. If anything it is very humiliating having somebody else put something inside of you down there. I had one done 12 years ago for an expected ovarian cyst. I'll say a prayer for you for comforting thoughts during this icky event and that they find nothing serious.
Reply:It's not too bad. You insert a probe (same size or smaller than a penis). Then the tech moves it around to take the pictures. I won't lie, it's uncomfortable but not unbearable (I had a prob since my ovaries are shifted so it hurt a little). If you get a nice tech, they'll move the screen so you can see too. It's pretty cool.

Try not to stress about it.
Reply:A transvaginal ultrasound is a very easy procedure, and does not hurt at all! The ultrasound instrument is coated with a lubricant and circulated gently around in your vagina. I am a big baby when it comes to ob/gyn stuff, and I didn't mind it at all. It was painless and over very quickly. The only difficult part is that you have to drink a substantial amount of water before you have the ultrasound, and it's very hard not to pee for that length of time!
Reply:I've had one for the same reason (ovarian cyst).... no it doesn't hurt but they make you drink ALOT of water an hour before so by the time you have it done you have to pee really bad! That is the worst part about it. They just probably want to check it before your period and after your period. Mine only show up during ovulation and go away. They usually won't do anything about them unless they are too big or they burst. Mine have been there for years with no problems. Good luck
Reply:The transvaginal ultrasound probe is a little bigger than a finger. It is usually covered with a latex cover like a condom and is placed gently into the vagina. If you have no serious infection, it should not hurt.

I have performed thousands of these exams and the fear is much worse than the exam, relax.

The pictures produced are many times better than the abdominal approach.

Old Ob Doc

PS: you don't need a full bladdder.
Reply:Transvaginal ultrasounds really aren't that bad, considering what they entail.

The ultrasound wand is shaped like an extra long, very slim dildo (vibrator). The technician will put a condom on the wand and insert it into your vagina. It will be moved around to get a better picture of your ovaries. This *could* be uncomfortable if you embarrass easily, if you've never had sex or if you are sensitive in that area. Otherwise, it's not really that bad.

(Nearly) All women will have cysts on their ovaries (they are what the eggs come out of: cysts=immature eggs). Did the doctor tell you the cysts looked like a "string of pearls"? If so, you might want to research Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
Reply:I just had this done because I too have cysts. I had to drink alot of water before I went for the ultrasound they did on my belly. The sent me to pee, then they insert the other, it's about the size of a normal curling iron....doesn't hurt, just a little uncomfortable. You will be covered by a blanket...so not laying in the open. That's pretty much it. The only down side is all the jelly they use. Good luck. It will be fine.

How can a doctor be sure that lump in your breast is only a cyst?

I have had it check 3 times and they insist it appears to be normal. But now it's hurting into my armpit area as well and the lumps bigger and still there . Mammograms hurt and they suck and they never show me the actual results like the pictures they took. anyone else having this problem?

How can a doctor be sure that lump in your breast is only a cyst?
A cyst is fluid filled and can be drained and/or collapsed. A cancerous lump is more solid and has a different feel and shape to it. There are several things that could be going on in your system, but ask the doc if you can't get that cyst "destroyed" so to speak and then you will feel much better.
Reply:you can request a breast sonogram and in fact insist on it. you are the patient. and it is your right. tell them you want a sonogram or an mri, immediately. tell them whatever it takes to give you peace of mind.
Reply:Why haven't they ultrasounded you?

If there is a palpable lump, breast ultrasound is a required tool for diagnosing.

Demand a breast ultrasound.

Does a twingie pinchy feeling in the lower abdomen mean that u have ovary cyst?

Does a twingie pinchy feeling in the lower abdomen mean that u have ovary cyst?
I wouldn't worry. It sounds to me that you could be ovulating. That happens to me every month. Since you are ttc, my best advice is do the baby dance. Good Luck. Sending you lots of Baby Dust.
Reply:I had this last month then i came to know i was pregnant.I still dont know what was that for.

My mom is having a baby and the doctor said the baby as a cyst on the kidney should i be worried she is7 month

I am sorry that your new sister is having problems. It sounds like she may have a disease called Autosomal Recessive PKD, but with the little bit of info you gave, it is hard to be sure. Most babies who have this problem have some medical issues, but the majority will come home from the hospital and will be okay, especially if they are not born too early.

It will be tough for her, but she will be able to do most of the things other kids can do. Eventually, your sister will probably need a kidney and maybe a liver transplant.

She is very lucky to have such a concerned, caring older sibling. To learn more, you can read about it at the link below, but like I said, this may not be the actual problem that your sister has, so you may want to get a little more information from your mom before you get too worried.

My mom is having a baby and the doctor said the baby as a cyst on the kidney should i be worried she is7 month
I dont know. I know my mom has polycystic kidney disease (PKD), she had kidney failrue around age 54 and so did her dad. i was lucky and did not get it. I do not know if it means this but you can do a search and read about it. It couldbe nothing. Polycystic - means many cysts. good luck.
Reply:thats like a tumor on the kidney...it may be cancerous so why not if possible get sample from baby to find out for sure? or wait til baby is born and then possibly get it removed before it becomes cancerous.. god bless baby and all...
Reply:I know nothing of this but at least the baby has 2 kidneys.
Reply:no, i have a cyst i didnt find out until i was pregnant you shouldnt worry unless it starts getting bigger then go see your doctor

If i stop taking b/c pills are there any alternatives to shrinking a cyst in the ovaries.?

from everything htat i know about cysts. birth control doesnt do anything for them.

cysts come and go. they rupture then they are fine.

but go to a doctor if you have pains. you might have to have it surgically removed if its bad enough.

Does a twingie pinchy feeling in the lower abdomen mean that u have ovary cyst?

please advise

Does a twingie pinchy feeling in the lower abdomen mean that u have ovary cyst?
Yes, it's possible it could be a cyst but also depending on where you are in your cycle it could be an indication that you are ovulating or have something going on with the nerves in that area (just giving an example only).

The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.
Reply:Is it constant, or something that happens for a few hours about 14 days before your period? If it's the latter, it could be ovulation pain. If it's the former, you should go see your gynecologist.

Does anyone know how long a person should stay on Metformin to kill ovarian cyst?

They have me taking 2000mg a day. The doctors here have a bad habbit of just telling me, here take this and don't want to answer any questions. Same thing with the birth control pills to regulate my period. After 4 or 5 months, it stops my period. Now i have to started up again.

Does anyone know how long a person should stay on Metformin to kill ovarian cyst?
If a doctor won't answer your questions, find another doctor. Is there not a label on the medicine with instructions? I'd find another doctor or clinic if you're unhappy with the treatment you're getting.
Reply:If your doctors don't tell you how long, ask the pharmacist. But frankly, I would find a new doctor.
Reply:Metformin doesn't kill it, the only thing that'll kill it is surgery - which they won't perform because it's dangerous.

Metformin helps you lose weight and keeps your sugar levels low.

BCP's prevent you from ovulating, and when you don't ovulate you dont usually have problems with this.

See an endocrinologist - they specialize in stuff like this.

How long dose it take to get my period again after having an overiam cyst removed?

If your periods were regular prior to surgery and if ovarian tissue remains, it should be within the month after.

How long dose it take to get my period again after having an overiam cyst removed?
It can take several months. Was it removed because of endometriosis? If so, did they put you on a birth control pill? For me, it took 2 to 3 months.

My doctor told me that I have bi-lateral leakage from implants and ruptured cyst on ovary?
Your question is a bit confusing. Are you asking for yourself or a friend? The question you posed seems to ask for both. In any situation like this I would always recommend getting a second opinion if you are not happy with the diagnosis your doctor is giving you. They are human and do make mistakes. Any reasonable doctor should not mind you choosing to consult another doctor.
