Cysts...on my back?

I have a cyst on my back for several years now which did not bother me ..i know i should see a doctor, but the strangest thing happened it started to get sore and it came to a head and i got my sis to squeeze and this white stuff came shooting out of it and quite a lot of it which was really suprising....anyway all i wanted to know if anyone knows if a cyst can burst ....ty

Are you sure it was a cyst? Had a doctor told you that or did you just decide that that was what it is?
Reply:I think that was the best way you could get rid of it. There was an old women at a long term care, who had one on her ear. I was amazed to see the hard staff coming out of there.
Reply:it was an ingrown pimple or a boil, they sometimes lay dormant untill you start to play with them which at that point it relaxes the muscles around it and therfore it comes to the surface
Reply:that is known as a (sp) sebaceous cyst, and what you experienced is standard modus operandi. They can make a small incision and remove them, I had one done on my upper shoulder blade. The bad news...it came back.
