You should seek a second opinion ASAP, all woman get cysts with their monthly cycle some woman keep those cysts they can be painful and life threatening if they burst. The tumors should also be addressed immediately. Find a good OBGYN and get the first available appointment, don't forget to let them know what the other doc said and take your medical records with you. Good Luck!
Reply:I would seek a second opinion to be on the safe side. I had abnormal bleeding like that, but I was also bruising all over my body. Please, ask another health professional!
Reply:HAH! That is a crock of ****! Ovarian cysts can burst, and when they do they hurt like HELL! They can be removed though.

You can be put on birth control even though you smoke. That doctor just doesn't want to do it because it increases your risk of cancer. You could get a second opinion, and you should.
Reply:I had an Ovarian Cyst that ruptured and that was the worst pain i've ever felt. You need to get it removed before it ruptures. Or you'll be in the hospital with a Morphine drip.

You need to go to another doctor for a second opinion. Sounds very serious. Definitely something that needs to be taken care of. Tumors can be cancerous.
Reply:I assume that he is talking about fibroid tumours of the uterus, which are not dangerous, many women have them almost their whole lives, but can possibly cause heavy bleeding and/or some pain. I would be more concerned about the ovarian cyst. Some of these can be more problematic - if you have many, you may have polycystic ovarian syndrome which can cause acne, weight gain, facial hair etc.
Reply:Well, it seems that your doctor is a bit of a craphead. This is an EXTREMELY urgent matter, he shouldn't make you be waiting a month because this is all very important stuff.
Reply:I would get a second opinion. They should probably biopsy the tumors. I would think that the sooner they do this, the better.
