What do ovarian cysts feel like?

I was diagnosed with a simple (functional) ovarian cyst (21mm) via vaginal ultrasound in August (found when I was having a miscarriage). I wasn't surprised because I had been having some shooting pains in my right side. The pains went away but a month or two later the jabs in my right side came back, but only during my periods. I had 3 pelvic exams by my OBGyn and ER doctor last month because I was worried sick, but they said they couldn't feel anything on my ovaries (and I am very thin) and not to worry. Now I am on cycle day 13 and have been getting the jabbing sensations in my right side (once in a while in the left too) constantly since a few days after my period ended. Is this what cysts feel like? Do you think it's the same one or a new one? I feel so worried. Please no websites, just real stories about your experiences! :)

What do ovarian cysts feel like?
I had one when I was 19 or so. It hurt but it didn't burst. It just went away. It was from a egg that wasn't released properly. I'm fine now. Ive had a beautiful healthy son. You could be ovulating. I thought I was getting another cyst and asked my doc and he said sometimes ovulation can hurt. Not massively painful mind you, just crampy and makes me feel off.
Reply:My roommate had an ovarian cyst and she described it as shooting pains up and then dull pain. She had one rupture and we ended up taking her to the hospital because of the amount of pain she was in.
Reply:That could very well be a cyst. I recommend that, since you are trying to become pregnant, you see a reproductive endocrinologist to ask if these cysts will interfere with your getting pregnant, and how they should be treated.
Reply:Cyst need a biopsy.so you know everything is fine.

If there's pain there's a reason so, go get another Doctor's opinion.Make sure you're not in harms way.In other words don't guess and worry just go for peace of mind. You know

something is not right, your body is telling you.Listen.
