Hospitalised for a week nowing not much till test resulted to ruptured ovarian cyst...laparoscopy????

Not knowing what was happening untill i was hospitalised for a week and on regular pain relief, I am now being sent to a surgeon to find out whats happening. Maybe in need of a laparoscopy to find out more. I am 24, got a 2 year old little boy and want more kids but am in fear of never having them again please anyone who has had this before answer me these questions....

Will I ever be able to have kids again?

Does a laparoscopy hurt and will it do any damage later in life?

I get Ovarian Cysts regularly. It could be sign of bigger things but not something to worry about for the most part. Did they do a vaginal ultrasound while you were in the hospital. It needs to be done asap not weeks later but it can tell you if you have more cysts. We get cysts every month just sometimes they don't dissipate normally. No need to worry. I have never had laparoscopy and like I said I get them pretty regularly. It doesn't turn into cancer if that's what you're worried about.
Reply:I have had these cysts also. Most are nothing to worry about but They can be dangerous if they fill with blood then burst.

(One of mine filled with blood) Not good at all. I took Aleve and it helps alot but ask doctor. get picture of ovaries done right away. to answer your question on having other kids ...If there is blood in one ovary or anything that they might have to remove you would still be able to have kids if you still have one ovary. another thing that can happen is tubal pregnancy.
