Unless the wall of the cyst is removed, the fluid will build back up again. So, the trick of bashing a ganglion cyst with a Bible, for example, is only a temporary fix.





If the cyst bothers you, have it removed. If not, leave it alone. If there are issues with infection, loss of mobility or function, or some other pressing reason to deal with it, then have it taken out.





You don't say where the cyst is. Some locations cause more problems than others.
