Is it possible to a 13 year old to have a ovarian cyst?

I had one when I was 12...and still have it. I was told it didn't need to be removed....but yes I'd say so.

Yes it's possible.. You can get polycystic ovaries in your early teens with no symptoms at all %26amp; end up infertile by your late thirties.. In a 13 year old, the cysts would probably be small %26amp; quite 'normal' because the ovaries are still developing, but if you started getting irregular %26amp; really heavy periods, you'd probably have to have a scan to determine what it is, then get put on the pill x
Reply:This can affect all women of all ages.
Reply:Yes, my first cyst ruptured when I was 13 and it and the rest were misdiagnosed for 2 years because they didn't suspect it in a 13 year old.
Reply:Yes, I had some when I was about 14 or 15. Nothing ever came of it, I never had to have surgery and i have a child now, so it didn't effect my fertility!
