There are so many things that it could mean. But it can also mean nothing. It depends upon your gestation. Many times they will go away before the baby is born. That fact that you know suggests that you are receiving the proper medical care. Rest assured that your doctor knows what to do and will do everything that he can to make sure that you carry a healthy baby to term.
As a point of reference, when my sister-in-law was about 14 weeks pregnant, they found cysts on my nephew's spine. My nephew was born with zero problems and is currently when of the happiest, healthiest seven year olds I have ever known.
