I have a little lump under my ear lobe. it could be a cyst, what should i do how are they dealt with/ removed?

get it checked by your doctor...and get it checked again if you're not happy with their diagnosis. my brother had this and it was serious (he's ok now)

It might be just a build up of puss, a chemical induced by it' self. You can see a doctor if you want but I'm sure it's nothing to fret too much about.

I have one too,, have done for almost five years.
Reply:Get it checked but don't freak. I get these all the time.
Reply:Best to have it checked out if it is painful, getting bigger or worries you. In some cases the lump is surgically removed. Sometimes you are told to leave it until if (or when) it changes in appearance or size, or gives you trouble.

I am not sure if the lump is on the ear lobe or on the neck. Lumps can even be caused by insect bites, so you need to have it seen to if it worries. If the lump is on your neck, it can be a swollen gland due to some little infection in the area, (throat, mouth, ear )
Reply:These cysts do occur occasionally. They can be removed if it is bothering you. It must be done very carefully as the ear lobe is highly vascular. If bleeding is allowed to occur it can produce even more swelling!
