Can cysts cause a constant pain in abdominal area?

I know I have one cyst on my right ovary (going in for sonogram soon to determine what to do about it) But I'm also 4 DPO, could be preg. but I always doubt I am, I just have this pain in my abdominal pelvic area..can cysts cause a constant ache like this?

Can cysts cause a constant pain in abdominal area?
Oh yes! I have PCOS (Poly-Cystic-Ovarian-Syndrome) and especially when I'm ovulating, I have sharp horrible pains in my lower stomach, and I've tried everything for it. They say you can go on BC pills for it, but not me...My doctor has prescribed every form of BC out there LOL Good Luck To You!
Reply:Absolutely! Ovarian cysts are extremely painful. Stay regular with your checkups and take your antibiotics, even if you feel better.

Ask your Dr to prescribe some Motrin for pain to help you sleep.
Reply:Yes, You should get an ultrasound soon so your doctor can see if it is just a cyst or tumor or if it is blocking your functions. I have an ovarian cyst on my right ovary and there is time where the pain has me doubled over. A heating pad on the area can help with some of the discomfort along with about 800 mg of Motrin (that is what my MD told me).
