Cysts Or Breast Change Due To Pregnancy?

My friend is curently 6 weeks pregnant and her one breast is a lot bigger than the other. I have had cyst's in my breast before but they don't feel like what I had my knots were a lot smaller and hers are kind of large knotted area's but mostly in the side that is the biggest is this normal? Her first Dr.'s appointment is on the 18th and she does intend to go over all of that then so please don't be rude when you respond she would just like to have a head's up before her appointment. Would you suggest soaking them in warm water?

Some girls breasts will develop in this way, one before the other and some have one breast that doesn't develop at all. I would guess that her body is just adjusting to pregnancy and the other will catch up. Make sure you have her address this w/ her doctor. Also, self breast exams are a good idea but can be more confusing when pregnant. Warm water will probably not help.
Reply:Your friend needs to be sure and ask her doctor about her breast changes. She probably had the cysts before getting pregnant. If warm water makes her breast feel good, then it would be okay.
Reply:She definately needs to talk to the doctor. Pregnancy hormones could be making the cysts grow rapidly and it is not unheard of to find out you have breast cancer when pregnant. I don't mean to scare you but it is something that should be taken seriously. Just because you are young or pregnant doesn't mean you are safe. It could also be blocked milk ducts, but make sure they take her complaint seriously and do proper testing to make sure.
