Cysts with Clomid?

I am a little depressed today. I found out I have a cyst on my right ovary when I went for a follicular ultrasound. I took Clomid last month. I can't conceive this month as the doctor put me on birth control to shrink the cyst. Has this happened anyone? What did they do? Have you had to go on birth control? What happened?

Cysts with Clomid?
I have had leftover cysts with clomid and follistim injections. It is not uncommon, especially for women with Polycystic Ovarian syndrome. Usually the cysts go away within the cycle and you will be able to proceed the next cycle. It is a typical treatment to be put on BCP's as that regualtes the hormones and helps any leftover cysts shrink.

Some women can continue with a cycle even with cysts but it depends on the number and size of the leftovers.

Reply:I have multiple cysts on my left ovary but was able to take clomid and went in for my first follicle u/s and had two really good follicles on my right ovary so i got the thumbs up to try. did they check both ovary's? if there are cyst's on both then that is the reason why she wants to shrink the cysts. but if there was a cysts on one and not on the other then there should of been follicles. unless you didnt produce any follicles at all the first round which is always possible. do what your Dr says and you should be able to start conceiving soon. good luck and lots of baby dust.
Reply:I have a cyst going into Clomid...working with a fertility encornologist...he has scheduled me for a lap surgery to zap scar tissue and a cyst removal {which he said he does not see but if he does he will remove it rather then waste time}...after my tubal reversal...however we found out we were not getting pregnant due to an infection my dh had. They put him on Doxacycline and he is all better now...now I believe before I even go in for my lap surgery 7/10 they are going to find out I am pregnant!

Best of luck to you. Sorry for any hesitation.
