I think that is what is going on...2 1/2 weeks ago I also have horrible pain there as well..I thought it was because I was ovualting, but no period yet..so I guess I wasn't?

Ovarian cysts?
Ovarian cysts suck tremendously. I sympathize with your pain. A friend of a friend had an ovarian cyst that interfered with her pregnancy (the fetus couldn't develop correctly and would have been mentally retarded) and she had an abortion. But she was also often in much pain. Best wishes in finding some remedies to ease it.

I recommend (unless you've already tried unsuccessfully) going on the pill. And, for coping spiritually, I recommend yoga (but I recommend this for just about anything). Nina Wise, a freelance artist and dancer, writes a section in her excellent self-help creativity book, _A Big New Free Happy Unusual Life_, on how art and movement helped her deal with the physical pain from a bout of cancer.
Reply:talk to a specialist.....
Reply:if you continue having pains go see your dr. as they may be ready to rupture, twist or bleed - apparently there are 5 things that can go wrong with them but I can't remeber the other 2. I didn't know I had ovarian cysts until one ruptured while I was out camping with my kids - I woke up with a fever and began to vomit - thinking it was a stomach bug to begin with I went and lied down to rest but the pain become worse and then it felt like I needed to have a bowel movement but couldn't. Incredibly enough I gathered my kids, left camp and drove myself to hospital 40 miles away - when I got there I had no feeling in my legs and was unable to get out of the vehicle without assistance and a wheelchair and had lots of pain acrosss my lower back, when the dr. asked what my symptoms were, I told him I felt like I was in heavy labor and needed to push but I was positive I wasn't pg (had tubes tied after last birth) - low and behold I was rushed into emergency surgery to have a twisted, ruptured and bleeding ovarian cyst removed - I'd never experienced such pain in my life - please consult your Dr. asap
Reply:I also have an ovarian cyst on my left ovary. It can be painful from time to time. Most of the time I can feel it when through my stomach when laying down. Ask your gyno if it is a normal size, if not, surgery might be an option. As for the sharp pain you are getting, my aunt and I have the same problem. After seeing a medical specialist, my aunt learned that the sharp pains felt are actually blisters and pockets inside of the phillopian tubes that pop or are irritated as the egg passes through them. As for how to treat it, we haven't found out yet. I seriously recommend making a followup appt with your doctor. Happy Thanksgiving, and God Bless!
