I was wondering about choroid plexus cysts?

when I was four months pregnant we where told my daughter had a choroid plexus cyst on her brain. I was terrified I looked it up on the internet and it wasn't very clear on what this meant. It said missing arms, legs, fingers, have been linked to these cysts they think. When we went to the specialist the cyst had disinigrated. Everything was fine she is a very healthy girl and has all her fingers and toes. I was just wondering if this is normal or where we lucky, are all of my kids going to have these. So pretty much does any one have any experience with these type of cysts?

It is believed that many adults have one or more tiny CPCs. CPCs have no impact on an individual's health or development or learning. The fetal brain may create these cysts as a normal part of development. They are temporary and usually are gone by the 32nd week of pregnancy.

I think about the missing toes etc.... happens in very extreme cases.

Glad everything is well...
Reply:A friend of mine went through the same thing. Her baby also turned out to be fine. I don't know for sure why this is caused or if it will happen again (she only has 1 baby) I think most of the cysts go away on their own because they told her she didn't need to worry about it and she just had lots of ultrasounds to keep an eye on it and to make sure it didn't come back. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Since you have already looked it up on the internet websites probably wouldn't help you. I guess my best advice would be talk to you Dr about your concerns!!
Reply:i would ask your dr
