A lump the size of a golf ball below right below the pantie line on the right side, could it be a cyst?

It could be a cyst or a boil or something else. WIthout examining you there is no way anyone on here can have a clue exactly what it is. If it is the size of a golf ball you need to go see a doc right away and get it checked out.

Sounds like a HECKAcyst.
Reply:That's kinda big...go to doctor right away.
Reply:It could be a swollen lymphnode. That is the same are as your nodes.
Reply:sound like it, but you should really get it checked by your doc.
Reply:Probably, but you shouldn't waste any time, just make an appointment w/your doctor and check it out. Better safe than sorry.
Reply:its either a golf ball or a cyst you need to have it looked at
Reply:Sounds like a femoral hernia. A hernia is when the muscle or organ inside has been stretched or pushed to one side. They're really easy to fix, but you should have it checked out by the Dr.
Reply:SEE A DOC NOW
Reply:get it checked out
Reply:go to doc ...........RIGHT AWAY
Reply:could be a hernia see a doctor asap
Reply:Yes. Could also be a herniated muscle. Is it painful?
Reply:Anything the size of a golf ball on me needs to be looked at! Yeesh! Run, don't walk...that's in the ovary-area.
Reply:This is the exact area and size of a hernia that my wife experienced years ago. Get it checked immediately.
Reply:Yes, it could be a cyst . But, I would just go see a doctor. I would not mess with it. Seriously!!!
Reply:It is more likely Cancer, get thee to a Doctor right away. They will want to take a biopsy.
Reply:It depends on where that panty line lies, whether we are talking bikini or briefs. Yes, it could be a cyst. It could also be an inflammed lymph node, or even a hernia. You need to have it checked by the doctor to find out what is causing it and for help to get rid of it. You have a lump where no lump should be, and that's always a signal to go see the doctor.
Reply:I am assuming you mean in your leg. My wife says it could be an enlarged lymph node. Make an appointment with your doctor to have it checked. He will probably give you an antibiotic.
Reply:I don't know what it could be but I can tell you one thing, you better make a beeline to the doctor and check it out the sooner the better. I lost a good friend in less than a month from something similar.
Reply:With any strange occurance on the skin you should be checked but if it is the size of a golf ball, please go to the doctors immediately!!! It could be a boil from irratation of some sort or a cyst or something more serious. Either way, don't play with your health by guessing, find out for sure and contact your local womens clinic or primary care physician.
Reply:Yes, it is most likely a cyst. This has happened to me before and they can be very painful. If it's not painful then it is a nymph node. But if it is painful, then you should go to the doctor and have them cut it open and drain in. It sounds very painful but it's not, you can barely feel them cut it and it will feel sooooo much better after all the blood and puss is out of it. Trust me, and for the time being keep hot compresses on it to keep the swelling down, hope this helps! Those suck!
Reply:There is no way for ANYONE on here to answer you properly. Not even a doctor - because it will need to be tested. Yes it "could be" a cyst and it could also be serious -- only a test will tell you. Go to the doctor. People have had "leg cancer" before -- go to the doctor and let them examine it.
Reply:something like this has to be checked by a gyn.Don't loose time -call and make an appointment today. It can be nothing or more serious-but you do want to know as soon as possible,
Reply:The location you described is exactly where your ovaries are located and it could very well be a large cyst or a blocked fallopian tube.

You should see your doctor to find out exactly what it is.

Best wishes!
Reply:hernia?
Reply:Cysts are hard. So are boils, which are even more common. Cysts below the surface of the skin don't turn the skin red. Boils turn the skin red, hurt, swell and then form a head before popping (sometimes it's advisable to have a boil lanced as it is an abscess). There is an off chance that his is a hernia - a piece of intestine poking through a weak part of the abdominal wall. If it's soft and you can push it back in, it's a hernia. You have time to decide what to do about a hernia. You can easily support it with a band of ace wrap, or a girdle. If you do that, it may never get any worse. But once in a while the loop of intestine becomes twisted. This is called a strangulated hernia and you'll know you have it because the pain is intense. If this happens, go to the ER.
Reply:Hmmmm.... sounds yucky. I've never had one that frickin' big before, but it does sound like a possible cyst, swollen lymph node, fatty tumor, boil.

You can wait for it to go away, but it's gotten awful big. If it doesn't start reducing, you need to go to the doctor and have it lanced (sliced open) so they can drain it. That's the fastest way to make it heal. Below the panty line is an awful place to have something like that. Painful even. The reason it keeps getting bigger is because of the friction in that particular area. It's unlikely that it will go away on it's own. Or, if it gets too big, it might burst, which is just asking for an infection.... not to mention even more yuckiness.
Reply:Definitely sounds like a cyst... don't worry, they are actually very common. You should go to the doctors so they can drain it though- if it gets too big it can cause problems.
Reply:One of my friends sister's had something similar to that. You should really get it checked out by a doctor. She had to have her's surgically removed. Good luck!

(she turned out fine! Didn't mean to scare you, if i did)
