i got a big cyst on my right wrist, when i was 13, it dissappeared one year after but i was left with bad mobility of my wrist. i saw a doctor then and he said it was a sinovial cyst. i know what that is...but since then i got smaller cysts on my metacarpo-phalangeal joints and on the phalangeal joints. they dissappeared in about two weeks. but now i got a cyst and it seems more painful than the others i had. what can it be? is it serious?. i'm 17 and my bones stopped growing and i hadn't hurt myself or anything in the last days. could be these small cysts related to the big one i had? i had a small one on my left hand too, but the rest of 5 were on the right.
waiting for suggestions thanks...i'm pretty scared :-ss
Cysts on my fingers. they are painful. are they dangerous?
dangerous no, if they bother you they could be removed, but they may come back
Reply:I have them too!! but the doctor says that they are not harmful.. that you should leave them alone.. Unless they are restricting your usage that they don't do surgury..
Reply:Generally they are not dangerous, I have one on my ring finger that they had to remove. It was an easy procedure they do not have to use anesthesia to do it. The doctor to be safe will usually biopsy it to make sure it is not serious.
