In the past year Ive had a couple of quite large cysts on my left eyelid, and opticians have recently told me I have an astymatism in that eye, so I think they are probably linked (cysts putting extra strain on eye). The problem is I need a new prescription badly but I don't want to have to get new glasses only to have to change them in a couple of months when the cyst goes. Ive tried the hot compress thing before but it is very slow working, and I preferably need my glasses this month. Will the opticians be able to accomadate for the cyst and its effect on my eye?

They are not related at all. You should still be able to get a new prescription as long as the cyst is obstructing your vision in any way. A astigmatism has to deal with the shape of your cornea (the front surface of the eye) and the cyst is on your lid. Go see a ophthalmologist about the cyst, they can remove it if needed.
